30 Days Later......

Hi Everyone!

I'm back with a 30 day overview......Here are my before pics:

While my diet has pretty much stayed the same, with "junk food" allowances every now and then, I have tried to maintain my yoga 5 days per week without changing anything else. I took new pictures last night:

After my roomy took these, I pulled them up in my email and melted with exasperation - so sad that it seemed that all my work for the last 30 days went in vain. After talking with my sister, she convinced me that my body is still changing. So with much apprehension, I decided to go ahead with this blog. When I pulled up the pictures this morning, I started to notice that I did have some changes. While I thought I looked the same if not a little bit bigger, I started to look at the smaller details. I noticed that my legs are looking more lean, my stomach is a tiny bit tighter, and my booty sticks up a lil bit higher! (<--- one of my goals...LOL)

Overall, this has given me the support and strength to keep going on my journey. I have also noticed that physical exertion is far easier than ever before. In fact, two days ago I decided to run with my dog because he wouldn't allow me the time for yoga. I RAN! This is unheard of with me and my bad knees and tiresome joints. I am also realizing how much I am enjoying this journey......

Healthy, Fit, Stronger

I finally did it! I put on a bathing suit and had my roomy take "before" shots......

I have never done this before and certainly never intended to actually post them for all the world to see.....

30 days ago, my sister asked me to be a part of her group called Healthy, Fit, Stronger on Facebook. In the beginning, I had no intentions for myself, but only intended on being a support for my sister and the group. From my previous blog on Shakeology, you can tell where I have come and now I want to tell you where I am going in the next 30 days.

Each 30 day challenge, Kenna asks us to think of a goal we want to accomplish during these 30 days and encourages us to adopt a new healthy goal intended to help us give up a bad habit. My bad habit was laziness! I HATED exercise! However, I was bound to make this huge change in my life. Through encouragement from the group and a new lease on my attitude, I was able to commit myself to 4 days per week of yoga class. I already pretty much eat healthy and what I'm "supposed to", but I had been hanging on to the last 20 pounds before I had made the commitment of yoga. With Shakeology and yoga, I was able to lose another 9 pounds. I am now about 155 lbs and would like to lose another 15 lbs. However.....this is NOT MY GOAL. My major goal for the next 30 days is to do yoga 5 days per week and slowly incorporate a 6th day of yoga at home. I would also like to keep up on this blog once per week, but not sure if I will post status pictures until the end of the challenge.

Each 30-day challenge is an expression of myself like a huge sounding board. I get to challenge myself, remove my ego, while challenging and encouraging others....and I couldn't think of a better, more supportive, loving environment to accept whatever challenges my sister throws at us!

I took the pictures above with much apprehension. After taking them, I realized that my sister was right! The scale and the mirror can definitely be the devil! I don't look near as bad as I thought I did and quickly ran to my phone to text her to say: Thank you for making me take those! It has given me the encouragement and push to continue on this journey. I welcome the transformation I'm going through and look forward to what is to come......
